I am in a rush to go to Haiti Pavilion where I will do today's sketch, I took a route on a shaded alley of the mobility district and found out this YOUth Pavilion. I suddenly stopped and read outside information "It's time to fuel your dot & turn your dot desire into reality",

I was a bit curious and when I look inside the pavilion, no display showcases, only 4 big vertical screens where you can see a lifesize Emirati Youth giving information about today's youth...not only Emirati youth but about youth all around the world ( that was the translation told me by pavilion staff on duty).

And he also told me that I can participate in their scheduled workshops and talks which are highlighted on a curved big screen. And when I looked at him...he smiled and told me that we need a senior like you to share your skills & experiences, I smiled and says..." yes, of course".

After that chat, I went outside and started to sketch the YOUth inside big vertical screens.

At DMCC Metro Station when I got my seat as the train still jampacked with commuters.

"Wait for me at the next station"

Quickly, I grab my sketch notebook and started sketching the people in front of me, then suddenly the guy beside me stood up and run to the door...then a loud sound of..."blaaaaaggg" and "ding-ding". Yes, the door was already closed and somebody missed again the station and the poor guy waving to his wife taking his mobile into his pocket and shouted " yes, just wait for me at the next station.

Quick sketch during our Boss JF farewell party, hopping around from table to table while drinking beer in between sketches. Hahahaha! I had fun, I can sketch their faces whatever I want, even not exactly they are but still, they are happy and proud maybe because of beer... lol.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

My last sketch for 2018 & 1st sketch of 2019.
At 11pm, my family rushed to Jumeirah Beach area to watch 2019 fireworks, parked our car 3 blocks away from the site and away from predicted traffic after the celebration.

Bea my daughter led us to Fishermans Wharf to a coffee shop (Coffee & Storey) and stayed while having black tea and ice cream. Quickly grab my folded paper and start to sketch 'coz I have only 10 minutes to sketch the environment before the fireworks.

This sketch has two parts & methods of drawing.

The first part of the drawing is my family which is on the bottom right side of the frame. This was done while waiting for fireworks and the upper part was done after the fireworks. Method of sketching is Inking & watercolour.

I used Tombow & Uchida brush pen and schmincke watercolour on 300 gsm. folded water color paper.

Waiting for my daughter from her shopping, I was placed here at Jollibee and bought breakfast.
I ordered 2 pcs. of chicken joy, burger steak, sundae, pineapple and after I finished my breakfast, I grabbed paper placemat and started to sketch until my daughter came back and took a video.

I am using Tombow & Uchida brush pen.

With me...my wife, kiko, sofia and bea.

Our running group having annual run at Abu Dhabi during RUNmadan Challenge Epic 6.

This is an Annual Event during the holy month of Ramadan, and part of the event is to run and visit mosques in Abu Dhabi (capital city of United Arab Emirates). Here we stayed at Murjan Asfar Hotel for 1 night & visit the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque on the next day.

During the stay at the hotel, we are gathered together for knowing each of us in front of beer & other liquor. But this time not only Filipinos but also Indian friends join us...this is memorable for the group.

Instead of taking a photo, I took my folded paper & start to draw this scene. I leave faces blank intentionally for them to put their own faces, but unfortunately...they are already drunk to this task.
